About the workshop...

Our Wellbeing Workshop aims to empower children by giving them a deeper understanding of some key things that contribute to a more fulfilling and happy life. It will help them to navigate life’s challenges with an awareness of how their minds and bodies work.

Through fun games, challenges and interactive discussions, we will explore some of the essential elements of wellbeing. The workshops will foster a sense of agency and self-awareness, equipping children with practical knowledge and tools to set them up for life!

We cover a range of topics in the workshop, including:

  • Looking after our minds and bodies and the link between the two.
  • The importance of quality sleep and establishing healthy routines, good nutritional habits and staying active.
  • Connecting with nature.
  • Mindfulness.
  • Conscious use of screens and the impact of social media.
  • Connecting with others / building positive relationships.
  • Kindness (including self-kindness) and gratitude.
  • Learning new things.
  • Neuroplasticity: forming new habits.
  • The importance of a growth mindset.

(All of the content is based on latest research in each of these key areas).

Our workshops are designed and run by Greig Trout, a former CSI and founder of 101 Things To Do When You Survive, and Jaime Thurston BEM, CEO of the 52 Lives charity and author of two books on kindness.
